Iran- Israel Ongoing Conflict

The Israel–Iran war that began in June 2025 is one of the most serious and deadly conflicts in the Middle East in recent times. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, holds significant authority in the country. Similarly, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is recognized as a strong leader and key defender of Israel. Both nations have a history of tension, conflict, and displacement.

DAY 1- It all started on June 13 when Israel launched an Operation Rising Lion and made a surprise airstrike attack on Iran's nuclear and military sites in places like Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow. The reason why Israel made such a rash decision and started this war was because of growing fear that Iran was close to building a nuclear weapon. June 13 is considered to day 1 of the war where the destruction to both countries began.

DAY 2ND AND 3RD- Day 2nd and 3rd dated June 14 and 15 was reported by Iran fighting back and giving its response with missiles and drones. Iran did the same thing and in order to protect the country and its people Iran targeted the Israeli military infrastructure including Haifa and Kiryat Gat while Israel hit the IRGC base in Iran. There was a constant fight between 2 countries with people and opinions being shifted, changed and misused in various possible ways out there.

DAY 4 TO 5 - On June 16 and 17 Iran missiles hit Beersheba while Israel also increased the bombing around Tehran. With constant missiles being dropped many innocent kids facing such bombings from both sides. Several lives were lost at the cost of this ongoing war.

DAY 6 TO 8 - On June 18 till 20 intense conflicts happened between two countries trying to put their perspective forward through missiles and drones. Intense combat was taking place, cyber warfare and rising gulf tensions were reported as well.

DAY 9 - On day 9th of war that is June 21st U.S got involved in the war between Iran and Israel. Donald trump quoted saying " We have completed our very first successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran including Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS is dropped on the primary site, Fordow. Now is the time for peace"

DAY 10 - The fight was consistent and continuous enough to keep on going. There were massive Israeli bombings in Tehran and Iran hit back with a number of drones. A refugee crisis begins. People whose house were demolished by the drones and missiles were trying to seek refuge in safe places.

DAY 11 - Iran launched missiles at the U.S Al Udeid Air base in Qatar. It involved multiple missiles, with most intercepted by Qatar’s defences; only one reportedly impacted the base and no casualties were reported. Trump announced a phased ceasefire later on his twitter. Donald trump acting as a mediator announced a 12-day war ceasefire plan. The idea behind this was that Iran stops attack for 12 hrs and then Israel stops attack for next 12 hrs and then full peace talk begins.

DAY 12 - Despite the ceasefire plan being announced by U.S president Donald trump but it collapsed. On Day 12, the war was supposed to stop. But a missile hit an Israeli city and killed people. Israel blamed Iran and bombed Tehran again. Iran denied the attack. The peace plan failed and the fighting continued.

CONCLUSION - Although war is not a good option to look forward to but despite that it is important to understand that war cannot fix such situations. Such situations can be fixed by coming to a conclusion where both the parties engage in diplomatic conversations and come out with a plan that equally benefits both the country and doesn't harm its civilians. It is important to understand that in order for the economy to prosper it is very important to take decisions that doesn't harm any people or the country where people reside in.
