Fake news refers to any piece of information or writing that
is false and misleading and does not contain any truthful information. It is a
news meant to misguide people with tons of information that is not even true.
Fake news has its own advantages and disadvantages. Advantages include the use
of information to deceive and gain the trust of audience and disadvantage is of
the trust that people lose from media channels, news, tv.
The impact of fake news on public opinion has had a massive bifurcation in the minds of the people. People are no more interested in fake news and lose their trust to misleading news information or news bulletin. Such news misleads or confuses the audience with the pieces of information they got from these platforms or tv channels. With the current news focusing on sensationalism, it becomes hard to differentiate between correct news and false news. The use of exaggerated words to grab audience attention in gaining the public eye attention.
